Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange announce the call for applications for the 6th edition of the POLONISTA NAWA programme. Its aim is to promote the Polish language and popularize Polish studies and research around the world by enabling foreigners interested in the Polish language and culture to undertake studies or carry out research projects in Poland.
Foreign students, PhD students and scientists whose subject of study or research is the Polish language, Polish culture, art, literature and history are invited to participate in the programme.
Under the programme, students and PhD students can be granted scholarships for full or partial Polish studies at selected universities in Poland. The language of study is Polish. Scientists – scholarship holders of the POLONISTA NAWA programme – can carry out research projects lasting from 3 to 12 months at Polish universities, also in English. Polish scientists and academic teachers can carry out research and teaching projects in foreign academic centers that offer Polish studies, Polish studies or Slavic studies with Polish as a minimum at the bachelor’s level.
The deadline for submitting applications is April 26, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. local time (Warsaw)
Call for Recruitment for students and scientists
198 people from 22 countries, including Poland, have benefited from the previous editions of the POLONISTA NAWA programme. 164 scholarship holders are students and PhD students, and 34 are scientists.
13 scientific institutions and universities in Poland hosted the programme beneficiaries. The centers most frequently chosen by students include: University of Warsaw, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, the University of Silesia in Katowice and the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. Scientists were most likely to choose the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun, the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan and the University of Silesia in Katowice.
