NAWA together with its German partner DAAD invites applications for joint research projects between the Republic of Poland and Germany.
The aim of the call for applications is to support the mobility of scientists conducting research projects agreed and carried out jointly by eligible applicants from Poland and partners from Germany. Funds for projects under the call for applications are allocated to cover the travel expenses and costs of stay for the scientists, except for financing the research itself.
The call runs from 3 April 2024 until 28 June 2024 at 15:00 local time for Warsaw in the NAWA ICT system.
Details of the call are available HERE.
Joint research projects – schedule for 2024.
Joint Research Projects are based on bilateral agreements between individual countries and aim to support the mobility of researchers carrying out research projects jointly agreed and conducted by eligible applicants from Poland and partner countries.
There is also a slight variation in priorities between calls, which are specified in each call’s description of the evaluation criteria. A common feature of all calls is the priority treatment of projects involving Polish young scientists in their participation and taking into account the possibility of cooperation with socio-economic partners during or as a result of the project.
Applications for funding may be submitted by entities referred to article 7(1)(1-8) of the a.s.w.n in agreement with an entity from a partner country. This means that the application for funding is submitted by a Polish unit to NAWA and by a foreign unit to a partner institution with which NAWA conducts funding. The final list of beneficiaries is agreed by both partner institutions. The maximum amount of co-financing is PLN 30 000. This amount may only be used for the mobility of research teams.
The opening of the 2024 calls is scheduled for April (Germany and Italy) and May (France). The merit selection process carried out by NAWA experts will assess the scientific significance of the proposed project, the proposed research methodology, the qualifications and experience of both research teams in the Project area and the importance of the scientific cooperation undertaken and the prospects for its continuation. Additional points will be awarded for meeting additional criteria indicated in individual competitions.
Projects that pass the subsequent selection stages, i.e. formal and content-related evaluation, will be informed of the result in December 2024. Implementation of the two-year projects may begin from 01 January 2025.
