A breakdown of time spent on key mission components shows:

  • 62.4% devoted to scientific and technological tasks

The mission, part of Axiom‑4, launched from Kennedy Space Center on 25 June 2025, with Dragon Grace docking at ISS the next day. The crew spent 18 days aboard ISS, and 20 days in space, including travel time

IGNIS included 13 experiments developed by Polish universities and companies, along with 30 educational outreach events, including live connections with students in Poland. Although mission execution is complete, researchers from POLSA and academic institutions are now conducting post-mission evaluations, data processing, and developing future publications. Final experimental analyses are expected to conclude in the autumn months.

MNiSW highlighted IGNIS as a milestone demonstration that Poland’s investment in cross‑disciplinary talent—from engineers to artists—is empowering its growing space sector. The mission is poised to inspire and support Polish science, industry, and education in the years ahead.
