AGH University of Krakow and Shibaura Institute of Technology (Tokyo, Japan) invite you to be a part of a momentous occasion – the celebration of 20 years of their fruitful cooperation .
We are delighted to announce that the 20th anniversary of the cooperation between AGH University and SIT is fast approaching. The summary of two decades of mutual cooperation is as follows:
- 12 educational cooperation agreements with Higher Education Institutions from Japan, including 4 with SIT
- two double-degree agreements, including one with SIT
- one joint degree programme with SIT founded by NAWA
- joint educational projects for nearly 4 million PLN within NAWA and FRSE funds
- 150 AGH and SIT students participating in exchanges and internships, including Erasmus+ Programme
- since 2012 – 584 delegations of AGH University employees to Japan, including 139 to SIT
- since 2012 – 177 visiting guests from Japan to AGH, including 74 from SIT
- eight double doctorates
- 80 joint papers published in renowned journals from the Philadelphia list
The ceremony will be attended by His Excellency the Ambassador of Japan to Poland, Mr Miyajima Akio, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of The Republic of the Republic of Poland, General Director of the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange and Director for Higher Education Programs Department of the Foundation for the Development of the Education System, University Authorities, graduates of the prestigious Energy and Environmental Engineering study program and other members of the academic community.
