The programme aims to support the mobility of researchers cooperating with foreign institutions. The call is organized by NAWA and Ambassade de France en Pologne – Service de Coopération et d’Action Culturelle, Ministère de l’Europe et des Affaires Étrangères, Ministère de l’Enseignement supérieur, de la Recherche et de l’Innovation.

Scientific institutions and universities are encouraged to apply for funding that supports researcher mobility between Poland and France. This initiative is open to all scientific disciplines.

Applications must be submitted in cooperation with an institution from a partner country. Each application must be submitted simultaneously – by the Polish party to NAWA and by the foreign party to the partner institution – in this case to Campus France.

Applications will be subjected to a substantive evaluation by NAWA experts. The following will be taken into account: the scientific value of the project, the methodology applied, the qualifications of the research teams, the importance of the cooperation and the possibility of its continuation. It is possible to obtain additional points for fulfilling specific criteria. An additional point in the evaluation of applications will be given to projects that involve young scientists in a Polish research team and the possibility of cooperation with socio-economic partners during or as a result of the project, as well as the potential for cooperation within EU initiatives and the involvement of students in the work of the Research Team.

Priority for funding will be given to projects whose topics correspond to the priorities of the Strategic Partnership between the French Republic and the Republic of Poland and the European Union’s Horizon Europe framework programme. The application should indicate the thematic area to which the application relates, based on the OECD classification.

After mutual arrangements of both organizations, the final list of beneficiaries will be announced. The maximum amount of funding per project is PLN 30,000 and can only be used for the mobility (travel and accommodation) costs of researchers from Poland.

The deadline for applications is July 17, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. local time in Warsaw (CET).

Detailed information can be found in the announcement of the call for applications.

Competitions under the Joint Research Projects programme are based on bilateral agreements between countries. The programme covers all fields of science, but individual countries may indicate priority areas for a given call for applications. The differences between competitions also result from the individually established criteria for evaluating applications. A common feature of all editions is the priority given to projects involving young Polish researchers and supporting cooperation with the socio-economic environment.
