The 7th Silesian Science Festival Katowice

Date: 9-11 December, 2023

Venue: Spodek, MCK Katowice

The Silesian Science Festival Katowice is an annual celebration of Silesian science, organised since 2016.

Every year, the festival programme consists of hundreds of various activities popularising science. Featuring lectures, workshops, scientific demonstrations, exhibitions, concerts, talks, debates, and special guest meetings, the festival boasts a diverse program organized and led by nearly 2,000 scientists and science communicators. The six knowledge zones include climate and environment, health and quality of life, future industry, social innovations, industrial and cultural heritage, as well as creation and criticism. The event also will mark the official launch of the 2024 European City of Science celebrations in Katowice.

Participants are asked to register for the event – individual free tickets valid for events at the MCK on December 9-11 can be downloaded via the registration form. Separate registration will be required for some lectures, workshops and special events that require a seat limit. Free tickets do not apply to entry to Katopolis, the opening spectacle of the European City of Science Katowice 2024 celebrations – the event will be ticketed separately. The total income from ticket sales will be allocated to the development of education.
